West Ridge Academy Boys BBall Update

After 4 losses, the boys’ team found the win column Friday
against the Tooele Sophomores.  After a slow start and trailing 16-14

Devotional Speaker 12/18-Steve Fowles

Steve was born in Provo, Utah.  He was raised around Utah county, but also lived
in exotic places such as Colorado Springs, Colorado and Henderson,
Nevada.  Steve now lives in beautiful Lehi with his wife and three of four
children.  He enjoys teaching skiing, teaching drum lessons, riding
motorcycles and snowboarding.

He likes to try things that scare him.  In an effort to overcome stage
fright, he tried acting, then something without a net; stand-up comedy.
He learned that our number one fear is speaking in front of an audience.
So, five years ago, he asked, “Why Not?”  Since then, he has enjoyed
interacting with teachers, parents and especially the youth.

Girls Basketball Results (Tourney & Maesar Game)

Lady Eagle Fans…

This weekend’s tournament in Wendover the girl’s never gave up and fought til the end. We also saw how important it is to our team to keep personal issues off the court. The girls’ realized that if we work together and fight as a team we are unstoppable, which reflect in our second game results. Both the JV team and the Varsity team were able to play in the games.  It was fun to see the different dynamics that each team showed.

We as coaches are having fun with the team this year and
are happy with our success. Our record right now is 3 & 3 and can’t wait to continue to be successful the rest of the season. The girls have really
adjusted to the way our team is coached and want to prove how great they can be on and off the court.
